When Creativity Comes to Life: Kalavio at boAt’s Kids Workshop

What happens when you bring children, creativity, and a little bit of imagination into the same room?

You get a workshop filled with colourful ideas, curious minds, happy faces, and creations that are uniquely their own.

We’re excited to share that Kalavio DIY art and craft kits were part of a kids’ workshop hosted by boAt, giving young participants an opportunity to step away from screens and get hands-on with creativity.

But what made the experience even more special was seeing how the activity brought children and parents together.

Because for us, DIY isn't just about making something.

It's about the moments created along the way.

More Than Just an Activity

At Kalavio, we believe creativity shouldn't be limited to drawing on a blank sheet of paper.

Children love to make, paint, experiment, build and proudly show what they have created. That is why our kits are designed to turn an ordinary afternoon into an experience.

Whether it's painting artwork, exploring colours and patterns, or creating something they can take home, the process is just as important as the final result.

The boAt kids’ workshop was a wonderful example of this idea in action.

The room quickly transformed into a space where little artists could explore their creativity, experiment with colours and, most importantly, have fun while making something with their own hands.

A Workshop Full of Little Artists

Imagine a room filled with children, each looking at a similar kit but creating something completely different.

One child might carefully follow the colours and patterns.

Another might experiment with unexpected colour combinations.

What made the workshop even more special was seeing children of different ages participate.

Even some of the very young children got involved in painting their own coasters, picking up their brushes and adding their own little touches to their creations.

Were the lines perfectly inside the designs?

Not always.

Were the colour combinations always predictable?

Definitely not.

But that's exactly what made each coaster special.

Every little artwork had its own personality.

When Parents Became Part of the Fun

One of our favourite parts of the workshop was watching parents get involved.

What began as an activity for the kids soon became a parent-child creative experience.

Parents sat alongside their children, helped them choose colours, guided their little hands and encouraged them to try new ideas.

And honestly, the parents seemed to get just as curious about the activity as the kids!

Some helped their children paint.

Some offered colour suggestions.

And some simply couldn't resist getting involved themselves.

That's one of the things we love about DIY activities — creativity doesn't really have an age limit.

A child may start painting a coaster, but soon a parent is sitting beside them, talking about colours, laughing over a paint spill or proudly admiring the finished artwork.

These small moments may seem simple, but they are the kind of moments children remember.

Creating More Than Art

A DIY activity can be much more than keeping children occupied.

It can create an opportunity for parents and children to slow down, sit together and do something without a screen in between them.

Instead of asking, “What should we do today?”, the activity gives families something to do together.

It gave us an opportunity to see our kits doing what they were designed to do — bringing people together through creativity and making art more accessible, engaging and enjoyable.

But more importantly, it showed us something we already believe strongly:
